Solidaridad Beaches: A Leading Example in Environmental Preservation

The Mayor of Solidaridad, during a ceremony hosted by the Mexican Institute of Standardization and Certification (IMEEC), highlighted the high environmental quality of the region's beaches. Solidaridad is recognized both nationally and internationally as a leading example of environmental preservation.

She emphasized the importance of the 13 certified beaches in the area, stating, "Each of these certified beaches is a living testament to what we can achieve when we prioritize the preservation of our natural wealth. These beaches serve as gathering and recreational spots for locals, tourists, and visitors alike, making the beauty of Solidaridad accessible to all."

Mayor Estefanía Mercado also stressed that environmental conservation is not just a responsibility, but a legacy her administration hopes to pass on to future generations. She pledged to continue efforts to preserve biodiversity, promote environmental education, and strengthen the community's commitment to environmental responsibility.

Irving Rafael Lili Madrigal, the director of Zofemat, echoed the Mayor's sentiments in his speech, stating that these achievements reflect the Municipal President's commitment to promoting responsible, accessible, and sustainable tourism.

The event was also attended by Samantha Alvarez, the Secretary of Environmental and Climate Change, and Darwin Covarrubias, the Secretary of Civil Protection, Risk Prevention, and Firefighters.
