Two minors were targeted and shot by motorcycle-riding gunmen outside a home in Cancún's 247 superblock on Nogal Street. Following the incident, the victims were rushed to separate hospitals for treatment.
The shooting occurred around 10 p.m. on Saturday night in the first stage of Villas Otoch. Local authorities were alerted to the attack and municipal police were dispatched to the scene, where they confirmed the assault on the two young individuals.
Reports suggest that the attackers circled the area several times on their motorcycle before identifying and shooting their victims. Both victims sustained injuries in the attack.
One of the victims was able to transport himself to the general hospital, while the second victim was taken to the 510 insurance hospital by ERUM paramedics.
The case has been handed over to homicide investigators. Meanwhile, forensic scientists from the prosecutor's office have been tasked with gathering and analyzing the evidence from the scene.
