Two Brothers Missing in Cozumel, Amber Alerts Activated

Cozumel, Quintana Roo — The State Attorney General’s Office has activated two Amber Alerts to request public assistance in the search for brothers Esteban Elías Poot Salas, 8, and Isaí Eduardo Poot Salas, 4, who disappeared on December 3, 2025, in the municipality of Cozumel.

According to official reports, both minors were last seen during the afternoon of that day. No details are currently known about the exact circumstances of the incident, such as the location or the clothing they were wearing.

The authorities consider them to be in a presumed disappearance situation, making their immediate location essential to safeguard their integrity.

Esteban Elías Poot Salas, 8 years old, has dark skin, a slim build, straight black short hair, dark brown eyes, measures approximately 1.25 meters, weighs about 30 kilograms, and has a distinctive scar on his right arm from a previous fracture. His brother, Isaí Eduardo Poot Salas, 4 years old, also has dark skin and a slim build, has the same type of hair and eyes, an approximate height of 1.15 meters, and a weight close to 20 kilograms, with no distinctive marks.

The population is asked to maintain special attention and report any information that may help locate them. Authorities emphasize that the first hours are crucial in cases of disappearance of girls, boys, and adolescents.
