Coaches Andrés Vargas and Freddy Espinoza, who led the athletes’ technical and physical preparation, will accompany the team to Cancún.

Before their departure, municipal officials encouraged the athletes, emphasizing teamwork, discipline, and sports as tools for comprehensive development. They noted that athletic participation helps keep youth away from risky behaviors and strengthens values like commitment and perseverance.

Municipal Treasurer Vicente Aldape Moncada and General Sports Director Moisés Muñoz agreed that representing Tulum in the state phase is a source of pride for the municipality. They highlighted institutional support that enables athletes to participate in official competitions and continue their sports development.

Officials urged the young competitors to give their best effort on the mat and compete responsibly and proudly for their town. They also recognized the work of the coaches and the support of families in the athletes’ training process.

The state phase of the National Olympics will determine which athletes advance to the next stage of one of Mexico’s most important youth sports events.
