Tulum, Quintana Roo — Security authorities and the State Attorney General's Office (FGE) detained three individuals on Thursday for their alleged involvement in crimes against public health and violations of the Federal Law on Firearms and Explosives.
The detainees were identified as Jorge Alexander "N", 18; Julio César "N", 41; and Jesús "N", 54. The intervention took place in the Colonia Centro neighborhood, on Tulum Avenue, between Centauro and Orión streets in the municipality of Tulum.
During the operation, authorities secured one 9 mm Parabellum caliber handgun with 15 cartridges, 21 small bags containing a pink powder similar to Tussy, 11 packages of a yellow granular substance resembling "Piedra," 45 packages of marijuana, one Chevrolet taxi with license plate B058TND, and one green Redmi brand cell phone.
The detainees and the seized items were turned over to the FGE, the authority that will determine their legal status in accordance with the law.
