In a recent operation by the Municipal Citizen Security Secretariat, three men were apprehended in the Pescadores neighborhood of Playa del Carmen on charges of health-related crimes. Authorities seized 69 packages suspected to contain narcotics, a firearm, and 25 rounds of ammunition during the intervention.
The individuals arrested were Luis, a 26-year-old from Veracruz, along with Sergio, 27, and Daniel, 30, both from Tabasco. Reports indicate that the trio were traveling in a public transport van owned by the Lázaro Cárdenas del Río union, with one of them serving as the driver.
After the discovery of the suspicious packages and the firearm, the three men were handed over to the State Prosecutor's Office. Further investigations will be conducted to determine their legal status.
