The Trust for the Administration and Payment of the Environmental Sanitation Right recently held its Eighth Regular Session. The meeting, led by Municipal President Lili Campos and Treasurer Kira Iris, highlighted the improvement projects that have been implemented in Solidaridad.
Campos noted that several projects were approved, including the purchase of surveillance cameras for Fifth Avenue, the maintenance of speed arches, and a safe mobility project to deter speeding. She expressed confidence in the committee's progress, praising its active members, dynamic entrepreneurs, and a government sector committed to the citizens.
Treasurer Kira Iris discussed the committee's financial status, management progress, and ongoing projects. She emphasized the importance of transparency, ensuring the business sector understands where their authorized funds are being utilized and can closely monitor project progress.
Iris also highlighted the benefits of the sanitation funds and paid rights. These funds have allowed for the acquisition of an ambulance equipped with intensive therapy services, an increase in vehicle registration, the addition of garbage trucks with waste division, and the implementation of health center rehabilitation.
The session also included the approval of the account status and the financial statements of the trust. These documents detailed the remnants of previous financial exercises, the fiscal year of 2024, and the financial progress of the trust for the administration and payment of the environmental sanitation right.
Several other projects received approval, including the comprehensive preventive and corrective maintenance of highway arches, the update of surveillance cameras on Fifth Avenue, and the leasing of machinery for waste disposal resulting from damages caused by Hurricane ‘Beryl’.
The committee also approved the cancellation of a project for a pet crematorium in the municipality. Syndic Adrián Pérez Vera clarified that the funds allocated for this project will be available for any other project that the committee decides to pursue.
