Cancún, Quintana Roo — Prosecutors have charged six men with sexual assault following an investigation into alleged abuse of a teenager at a private addiction treatment center in Cancún.

The Quintana Roo State Prosecutor’s Office announced that a judge ordered the six suspects to stand trial for their alleged involvement in the assault of a teenage boy at a clinic in the Alfredo V. Bonfil neighborhood.

The suspects, identified as Jonathan David “N,” Gilberto Eli “N,” Carlos Yeudiel “N,” Jesús Eduardo “N,” Eduardo Enrique “N,” and Jorge Rodrigo “N,” face charges of rape. Jorge Rodrigo “N,” the clinic’s alleged owner, faces additional charges of covering up the crime.

According to the investigation, the teenager suffered physical and sexual assaults by Gilberto Eli “N” in November 2025. In February 2026, he was allegedly assaulted again by Jesús Eduardo “N” and Eduardo Enrique “N,” and sexually assaulted a second time by Gilberto Eli “N.”

The following day, the victim suffered another physical assault by Jesús Eduardo “N” and an accomplice. After the incident, the clinic director questioned the teenager in his office.

Later that month, the victim attended therapy with a psychologist who, after learning what happened, immediately arranged for his transfer to another facility.

The teenager’s mother filed a formal complaint with the Special Prosecutor’s Office for Crimes Against Sexual Freedom and Personal Development. Prosecutors obtained a search warrant for the clinic, which police executed, seizing a security camera DVR and clinical files to identify suspects.

Authorities sealed the building and placed it under official custody. The judge ordered all six suspects held in preventive detention for two years or for the duration of the judicial process.
