Cancún — Following the successful return of the LPGA to Mexico, the second edition of the Riviera Maya Open 2026 has been confirmed. The tournament will take place from April 27 to May 3 at the “El Camaleón” course in Mayakoba.
The top figures in women’s golf will play 72 holes over four days of competition, competing for a purse of $2.5 million. This event solidifies Playa del Carmen as a host for international-caliber events.
The first edition received very high ratings from participants, ensuring a competitive and spectacular tournament for the upcoming season.
Among the confirmed participants will be at least three Mexican golfers: Gaby López, Isabella Fierro, and María Fassi, all prominent figures on the LPGA women’s tour. Japanese golfer Chisato Iwai was the winner of the first edition, followed by American Jenny Bae and Korean Haeji Kang on the podium.
Gustavo Santoscoy García, the tournament director and CEO of GS Sports Management, thanked everyone involved for maintaining the tournament as one of the most important on the women’s calendar, highlighting Mexico’s projection as an international golf destination.
