Carnival Dream Crew Member Missing at Sea: Urgent Search Underway

A crew member from the Carnival Dream cruise ship has reportedly fallen overboard during a voyage from Cozumel to Galveston. Maritime authorities were promptly notified and have since appealed to the maritime and fishing community to remain vigilant. If any evidence of the missing crew member is found, it should be reported to the Port Captaincies immediately.

The incident reportedly occurred at 2:30 am on Friday, August 9 and is currently under investigation. The Carnival Dream had departed from Cozumel at 4 pm the previous day. The ship was sailing through the waters of the Mexican Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico at the time of the incident.

Frigate Captain José Antonio Solano Claustro, head of the Regional Port Captaincy, informed the entire maritime and port community of the situation. The report came from the Carnival Dream, which sails under a Panamanian flag, and detailed the disappearance of one of its crew members. The incident is suspected to be a case of a man overboard, but this has yet to be confirmed.

According to the Regional Port Captaincy, the Carnival Dream left Cozumel on Thursday, July 8 at 4 pm, heading for its homeport in Galveston, Texas. The crew member is believed to have fallen overboard at 2:30 am on Friday, July 9. The incident is thought to have occurred at coordinates 22 degrees, 58 minutes, north latitude and 087 degrees, 60 minutes north longitude, approximately 81.9 nautical miles northeast of Rio Lagartos.
