In Puerto Aventuras, Mexico, a public service worker from the town of Solidaridad tragically lost his life this morning. The worker was struck by a bus from the Del Valle company while he was carrying out cleaning duties underneath a pedestrian overpass.
Unofficial reports suggest that the bus collided with the worker, causing him to be thrown across the asphalt. He died instantly from the impact. The bus driver, who was operating bus number 645, hastily left the scene, abandoning the bus where the incident occurred.
Emergency services and paramedics arrived on the scene minutes later, only to confirm the unfortunate reality that the worker had already passed away. Underneath the abandoned bus, they found a reflective cone and a partially crushed wheelbarrow. These items were seemingly overlooked by the bus driver prior to the accident.
