QUINTANA ROO, Mexico — The "Hecho en Quintana Roo" (Made in Quintana Roo) program is now accepting documents and information from all interested artisans seeking support to promote their products within the state. The initiative aims to improve the economy, sales, and recognition for the entire community dedicated to this craft.
Governor Mara Lezama recently shared the news on her social media accounts regarding the start of registration and document submission for the first stage of the support program. Artisans in Quintana Roo who wish to carry the "Hecho en Quintana Roo" seal on their products are encouraged to apply.
This program was launched by the Government of Quintana Roo with the help of the Secretary of Economic Development (SEDE). It proposes to provide several benefits to the 84 artisans or craftswomen who are selected in this first stage, including:
- Promotion on the state's official media channels
- Sales training
- A tablet to facilitate the integration of technology into their businesses
Requirements to Participate in the First Stage of 'Hecho en Quintana Roo' 2025
According to the announcement shared by the State Government, the "Hecho en Quintana Roo" promotion program will be open to both individual artisans and existing cooperatives. Applicants need only meet the following requirements to enter the platform and compete to be one of the 84 selected.
Requirements:
- Be of legal age (18 or older)
- Complete the application form
- Provide a copy of a valid Voter ID (INE)
- Provide a copy of an updated CURP (Unique Population Registry Code)
- Provide a simple copy of an updated Tax Status Certificate, issued no more than three months prior
- Provide a simple copy of the Brand Registration Title
- Provide a simple copy of the Contract of Authorization for the Use of the "Hecho en Quintana Roo" Distinction
How to Register for the 'Hecho en Quintana Roo' 2025 Program
Registration begins on Thursday, September 18, and will remain open until Monday, October 20, at 5:00 p.m. The "Hecho en Quintana Roo" platform will be active to complete registration and to submit the aforementioned documents. Documents can be submitted physically at any of the offices of the Secretary of Development and Economy or via the following email address.
