Quintana Roo’s Free December 2025 Cultural Calendar Revealed

Quintana Roo, Mexico — The Institute of Culture and Arts (ICA) of Quintana Roo has unveiled its complete “Cultural Calendar December 2025,” a schedule packed with exhibitions, recitals, festivals, and workshops to celebrate the year-end holidays across various municipalities in the state.

The activities aim to foster citizen participation and celebrate the season with high-level artistic events, with the invitation extended to all citizens to participate in these events that seek to strengthen family bonds.

Permanent Activities and Month-Start Events

Christmas Villages and Artistic Activities:

• The Flag Esplanade will be the epicenter of the festivities with artistic activities from December 1 to 19, starting at 6:00 p.m.
• Visits to the Christmas Villages at the same Flag Esplanade will be available from December 1 until January 6, 2026, starting at 6:00 p.m.

Initial Workshops and Exhibitions:

• On December 1, the Calderitas House of Culture will offer the Christmas Crafts Workshop “Creating Santa Claus” at 5:00 p.m.
• On December 4, the State Theater School will present the Workshop Circuit “Creativity Without Barriers” at 8:00 a.m.

• December 3 (Wednesday):
  1. Chetumal: The Lic. Javier Rojo Gómez Library will host “Story Time” at 4:00 p.m.
  2. Felipe Carrillo Puerto: The workshop “Self-Defense and Violence Prevention” will be taught at 6:00 p.m. at the House of Culture.
• December 4 (Thursday):
  1. Chetumal: The Museum of Maya Culture will present the Pictorial Expo of the Punto y Coma Group at 7:00 p.m.
• December 6 and 7 (Weekend):
  1. Cancún: Celebration of the Folk Dance Festival “The Colors of Son” (Saturday 6, 12:00 p.m.) and the Christmas Festival of Polynesian Dances (Sunday 7, 10:00 a.m.), both at the House of Culture.
• December 10 (Wednesday):
  1. Cancún: Christmas Recital by Piano Students at the Equity Park at 6:00 p.m.
  2. Chetumal: Presentation of the book “The False Door of Paradise. On Suicide in Quintana Roo” by Dr. Eliana Cárdenas Méndez, at 6:30 p.m. at the Lic. Javier Rojo Gómez Library.

  1. Triple event at 6:00 p.m.: Exhibition of Christmas Works at the Cozumel House of Culture, Christmas Festival and Exhibition at the Chetumal House of Culture, and Christmas Gala of the Classical Ballet Workshop at the Cancún House of Culture.
• December 13 (Saturday):
  1. Cancún: Flamenco Christmas will be presented at 7:00 p.m. at the House of Culture.

Concerts and Mid-Month Festivals

• December 15 (Monday): Day of festivals and concerts:
  1. Cancún: Christmas Concert by Violin Students (4:00 p.m.) and Winter Course of the State Dance School (5:00 p.m.).
  2. Cozumel: Christmas Festival “Fantasy in Christmas” at 6:00 p.m.
  3. Felipe Carrillo Puerto: The House of Culture will offer “Winter Dreams” at 6:00 p.m.
• December 17 (Wednesday):
  1. Chetumal: The School of Music will host a Christmas Concert at 7:00 p.m.
  2. Chetumal: The Lic. Javier Rojo Gómez Library will have “Story Time” (4:00 p.m.) and the Winter Festival (6:00 p.m.).
