José María Morelos, Quintana Roo — With just days until its opening, preparations are advancing at the fairground for the Expomor 2026 Spring Fair, which will mark its 47th edition this year. The event is considered one of the most representative celebrations in Quintana Roo’s Maya zone.
The venue has been prepared to welcome thousands of local, national, and international visitors who attend this annual celebration promoting traditions, culture, and the local economy.
According to the announced schedule, programming includes activities focused on supporting agriculture, with a livestock and agricultural exhibition where municipal producers can sell their harvests.
Additionally, craft pavilions and regional food spaces will be installed, and the traditional watermelon contest—one of the fair’s most anticipated events—will take place.
The official inauguration will occur on Thursday, March 12 at 2:00 p.m. in the fairground’s dome, where the Felipe Carrillo Puerto Polyphonic Orchestra will perform starting at 1:00 p.m. A ribbon-cutting ceremony and tour of producer and artisan stands will follow.
The artistic lineup features the Great Vaquería Night, popular dances, a headline concert by singer Espinoza Paz, and the ancestral Jets’ Lu’um ceremony dedicated to harmonizing the land.
