Playa del Carmen Council Appoints Leticia Lorenzo Zamudio as Internal Comptroller

Leticia Lorenzo Zamudio takes the oath of office as head of the Playa del Carmen Internal Control Body

Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo — Mayor Estefanía Mercado presided over the 27th extraordinary session of the city council, which approved the appointment of Leticia Lorenzo Zamudio as head of the municipal Internal Control Body.

The session took place in the council’s “Leona Vicario” hall, where the mayor administered the oath of office to Lorenzo Zamudio. She took up her new duties immediately.

With the vote, the council formalized Lorenzo Zamudio’s appointment to lead the Internal Control Body, the office responsible for internal oversight of the municipal public administration.

Lorenzo Zamudio replaces Cristina Alcérreca, who was named Secretary of Government of the Playa del Carmen city council, succeeding Arturo Castro.
