The Piñero Group, a company dedicated to sustainability, has announced the inaugural + Ecoists Awards in Mexico. These awards aim to recognize businesses, suppliers, and strategic partners that champion environmental initiatives and sustainable tourism. The goal is to encourage a regenerative tourism model that benefits both the environment and local communities.
The awards focus on actions that promote energy efficiency, circularity, biodiversity protection, and environmental education. Winners will be chosen by a panel of sustainability experts who will assess the environmental impact and success indicators of the nominees. In a unique twist, the award statuettes will be designed by a local young artist, selected through a competition run in collaboration with Sedetur.
For this first edition in Mexico, the Piñero Group is inviting young artisans to design the statuette for the 2025 + Ecoists Awards. The competition aims to showcase local talent and foster creativity in sustainable artisanal production. Those interested in participating can submit their award designs before April 9, 2025.
The awards ceremony is scheduled for May 6th at the Jaguar Park in Tulum, a renowned location in the region. For further information about the awards and how to register, visit the website www.somosecoistas.com.
