The Cancún, Puerto Morelos and Isla Mujeres Hotel Association has announced several new initiatives designed to boost tourism in the region.

To attract more visitors, the association plans to launch caravans at various points of origin. They are also preparing to offer certifications in specialized areas such as weddings, aiming to tap into this specific market.

Travel agencies in McAllen, Texas, will be given presentations, and the association will participate in events in Guadalajara alongside airline representatives. Additionally, a multi-destination caravan will be organized to welcome travel agents and operators from different Mexican cities, promoting Cancún, Puerto Morelos and Isla Mujeres.

The association also plans to engage with travel agents in Puebla and attend international fairs in the United States. They will review around 35 fairs and events to determine which ones are most effective for promoting the tourist destination.

To attract more wedding-focused visitors, the association will partner with a company that specializes in wedding certification. Furthermore, they plan to certify local wedding planners to stimulate this market segment and ensure high-quality services at the destination.
