The Cozumel Parks and Museums Foundation (FPMC) recently unveiled a new art exhibition titled "Memories of Cozumel". This collection, created by the renowned artist Adriana Delfín, was presented at an event that drew art lovers to the Island Museum. The exhibition comprises 15 pieces that encapsulate the spirit of urban murals adorning the island's streets. Additionally, four pieces from Delfín's "Paths" series, crafted with oil on vehicle plates, are also on display. Delfín's work is a unique blend of painting, muralism, and object art.
The FPMC's general director emphasized the crucial role of art and culture in stimulating community and tourism growth. This aligns with Quintana Roo's push towards cultural tourism. The "Memories of Cozumel" exhibition seeks to foster a dialogue between the island's visual imagery and the memories of its inhabitants while offering tourists an unforgettable artistic experience during their visit.
The public is warmly invited to explore this exhibition, along with other art displays at the Island Museum. Entry is free for all visitors. The exhibition is open from Tuesday to Sunday, between 9:00 and 17:00.
