Puerto Aventuras, Quintana Roo — A federal operation in the municipality of Puerto Aventuras resulted in the arrest of a couple allegedly linked to organized crime, along with the seizure of a significant cache of weapons and narcotics.

The operation was conducted by agents of the Federal Ministerial Police assigned to the Criminal Investigation Agency of the Attorney General's Office (FGR). Authorities executed a search warrant at a residence in the Nueva Generación subdivision, where Secundino "N" and Ana Cycely "N" were taken into custody.

According to officials, the male suspect is under investigation for his alleged involvement in multiple homicides in Playa del Carmen and Puerto Aventuras. Neighbors reported that he was known in the area for his violent behavior and had previously evaded arrest.

During the raid, law enforcement confiscated a substantial quantity of illegal substances, including marijuana, crystal meth, methamphetamines, crack cocaine, ecstasy pills, and other narcotics, which were allegedly being distributed in northern Quintana Roo.

Authorities also seized an arsenal consisting of assault rifles, handguns, loaded magazines, live ammunition, and tactical gear, including camouflage uniforms. The discovery underscored the high level of danger posed by the suspects' operations.

The property was secured by federal authorities as part of an ongoing investigation. The detainees have been handed over to the Federal Public Prosecutor's Office for further legal proceedings.
