Xcaret’s Inclusive Program Marks Two Years with Expanded Access

Manos Xuaves program at Grupo Xcaret promoting accessibility and inclusion

Xcaret, December 4 (InZoomMX). – Manos Xuaves of Grupo Xcaret celebrated its second anniversary, consolidating itself as one of the most relevant initiatives in labor inclusion and cultural accessibility within Mexico’s tourism sector. The project was created to open real opportunities for people with disabilities and generate barrier-free experiences both in workplaces and in Grupo Xcaret’s shows.

Expansion of the Program to New Venues

In its first stage, the initiative operated only in Xcaret México Espectacular, where interpretation in Mexican Sign Language (LSM) was integrated for the first time. Since then, its reach has grown: in 2025, it served 190 deaf people, and the program now also offers interpretation in the Equestrian Show and in cultural events that are part of the Group’s programming.

Among its recent participations, the Gastrocultural Festival Apapaxoa stands out, with interpretation in more than 20 presentations, in addition to its presence at the Xcaret Mexican Folk Art Fair, where it supported more than 77 LSM users.

Internal Training and Organizational Culture

The impact of Manos Xuaves is also reflected within the company. More than 600 employees have received training in inclusive service, which has helped strengthen a more sensitive, respectful, and prepared work environment to serve all people. This process is part of the Group’s Xostenibility model, which promotes respect for diversity as one of its pillars.

“Manos Xuaves reminds us that sustainability begins when each person is seen and recognized in their dignity. This initiative reflects our commitment to building truly accessible experiences,” said Iliana Rodríguez, Corporate Director of Sustainability and Institutional Dialogue at Grupo Xcaret.

National and International Recognition

During these two years, the program has received various awards that highlight its comprehensive approach to inclusion. Among them are the award for Best Initiative for the Promotion of Diversity and Inclusion from the National Awards for Sustainable, Inclusive, and Fair Tourism, as well as the Social Purpose and Community Engagement Award and Inclusive Operator Award from the Arival Spotlight Awards.

These achievements have positioned Manos Xuaves as an exemplary case in the industry for its people-centered vision, accessibility, and talent development.

Grupo Xcaret will continue expanding the program’s presence in new spaces and processes, with the goal of strengthening a tourism model where every visitor and every employee are part of a culture that recognizes diversity as an engine of innovation and growth.
