Cancún, Quintana Roo — State prosecutors have secured a court order binding a man over for trial on charges of child pornography in the municipality of Benito Juárez.
Carlos Natanael N. faces accusations of human trafficking in the form of child pornography. According to the investigation, between Jan. 27, 2023, and Jan. 10, 2025, he allegedly acquired and stored on his cellphone a series of video files received through WhatsApp. The videos reportedly showed minors under 18 engaged in explicit sexual acts and exhibitionism.
After reviewing the evidence presented by prosecutors, a control judge formally linked the defendant to the case and ordered two years of preventive detention while the legal proceedings continue.
