Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo — Police arrested a man after neighbors reported him trying to break into multiple homes in the Misión de las Flores neighborhood overnight and into the early morning.
Residents alerted authorities after seeing the individual manipulating gates and entryways to houses, causing concern in the area. Officers from the Public Security Department responded and located the suspect, who they detained.
Authorities reported that the man appeared to be under the influence of an unknown substance, a detail that will be confirmed through further investigation. He has been handed over to the State Prosecutor’s Office for legal proceedings.
Police urged the public to report any suspicious activity to emergency numbers.
