Following her unsuccessful bid for re-election, Roxana Lili Campos Miranda, the incumbent leader of the Solidaridad Council, has terminated the social programs "I am with you" and "Paint your facade". The only campaign she allowed to continue was a "junk removal" initiative aimed at preventing a dengue fever outbreak in the Solidaridad county.

After the electoral process concluded, Campos Miranda instructed the discontinuation of these programs, seemingly as a punitive measure against the citizens of Solidaridad who did not vote for her in the June 2nd elections. As a result of her decisive defeat, she decided not to allocate any more funds to social programs for the remainder of her term, which runs from 2021 to 2024.

The only program she permitted to continue was the "junk removal" campaign, which targeted densely populated neighborhoods in Playa del Carmen and Puerto Aventuras. This was a necessary measure to prevent a dengue fever outbreak, a risk heightened by the high summer temperatures in the Mexican Caribbean.

The new and old Municipal Palaces are now in a state of severe stagnation. Directors, municipal employees, and public servants affiliated with the PAN political party are reportedly considering leaving Playa del Carmen to avoid potential legal repercussions.

Several directors of the Solidaridad Council are simply waiting to transfer their offices and positions to the incoming municipal administration led by Estefanía Mercado. This transition comes after a period of minimal spending from June to the third week of July, during which the Council only allocated funds for the Playa del Carmen Fair and the 31st anniversary celebration of Playa del Carmen, scheduled to take place this Sunday at the City Theater.
