A van was found overturned in the undergrowth after colliding with a billboard on Federal Highway 307, near Punta Venado at kilometer 279. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.

Initial investigations suggest that the driver of the pick-up truck, which was carrying welding tools, was en route to Playa del Carmen. However, a malfunction with the crankshaft at the bottom of the vehicle caused him to lose control.

This mechanical failure led to the vehicle veering off the road and crashing into the metal structure of a billboard, resulting in the vehicle overturning.

Local police officers and the National Guard were promptly on the scene to manage the situation. The overturned van was later removed by a crane and transported to an impound lot.
