Isla Mujeres New Year’s Eve Dance with Live Music

Isla Mujeres, Quintana Roo — The Municipal Government of Isla Mujeres, led by Mayor Atenea Gómez Ricalde, has invited island families and visitors to participate in the Grand New Year’s Eve Dance, which will take place on December 31 at the Municipal Plaza, with a musical program designed for audiences of all ages.

The municipal authority reported that the event aims to offer an orderly, safe, and wholesome celebration to bid farewell to the year and welcome 2026 in a festive atmosphere.

Recognized Groups to Animate the Celebration

The Grand New Year’s Eve Dance will feature the participation of recognized groups such as Son’s of Cumbia by A.B. Quintanilla, Master Cumbia, La Banda Más Poderosa BLP, and La Mejor de Roly López, who will set the rhythm for the night with danceable music and a family-friendly environment.

Authorities noted that the musical diversity seeks to guarantee the participation of people of all ages, consolidating the event as one of the most anticipated year-end festivities on the island.

Free Event to Strengthen Social Cohesion

The City Council emphasized that the Grand New Year’s Eve Dance will be free and open to the public, with the goal of strengthening family unity, promoting community coexistence, and encouraging the responsible use of public spaces.

Furthermore, it underscored that this type of activity is part of the municipal strategy to consolidate Isla Mujeres as a comprehensive tourist destination, which, in addition to its natural beauty, offers cultural and musical events on special dates.

Finally, the municipal government stated that this event aims to generate moments of collective joy and welcome the New Year 2026 with music, dance, and a message of social unity, in the heart of Isla Mujeres.
