The "IMSS Valle de Mexico" wheelchair basketball team is preparing to compete against Colombia in the grand final at the Poliforum in Ejido colony. They have successfully defeated four teams so far, including one from the host city, Playa del Carmen, in the Fifth Edition of the International Wheelchair Basketball Tournament in Playa del Carmen.
The team's president, Oscar Lara, stated that the team is ready for the competition and has been training rigorously. He stressed the importance of teamwork and the players' commitment, who range in age and have all overcome personal challenges to continue participating in this adaptive sport.
Despite the rainy weather conditions in Playa del Carmen, the team has remained undeterred and has prepared both physically and mentally to face any opponents. Even though the match against Colombia was postponed, the team remains focused and ready for the grand final at the Poliforum in Ejido colony.
President Lara highlighted the value of experience and the daily effort each team member puts in to succeed in wheelchair basketball. We wish the "IMSS Valle de Mexico" team the best of luck in their upcoming match against Colombia!
