Cancún, Quintana Roo — The Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) in Quintana Roo will install 10 vaccination points across the state this weekend as part of its ongoing measles immunization campaign.

Anabel Martínez Benítez, the delegation’s nursing coordinator, urged residents to get vaccinated. “This weekend, vaccination reaches more public spaces,” she said.

According to available information, IMSS has already administered more than 670,000 doses during its Intensive Measles Vaccination Drive.

In a video message, Martínez Benítez stated that IMSS Quintana Roo is taking to the streets to bring protection to more families, setting up modules in public areas for people to start or complete their vaccination schedules quickly and safely. “Getting vaccinated is an act of responsibility and love!” she reiterated.

She explained that on Saturday, February 28, and Sunday, March 1, large vaccination modules will operate from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the following locations:

  • Saturday: Two in Chetumal, one in Playa del Carmen, one in Felipe Carrillo Puerto, three in Cancún, one in Isla Mujeres, and two in Cozumel.
  • Sunday: One at the tianguis (market) in Cancún’s Region 100.

The official reminded the public that vaccination is free, safe, and saves lives. “Protect yourself and protect those you love most. Don’t miss out, spread the word!” she concluded.
