Cancún Criterium: Ignacio Sarabia Claims Victory!

Ignacio Sarabia emerged as the champion of the third Cancún Criterium, outpacing Miguel Arroyo in a thrilling finish at Malecón Tajamar.

KEY RESULTS

  • In the Elite Men's Category, Ignacio Sarabia, a Mexican cyclist of Pan-American caliber, showcased his stamina and outperformed Miguel Arroyo, who has yet to secure a win in Cancún. José Aguirre took third place, while Alan Carrillo from Cozumel landed in fifth, missing out on a third consecutive win.
  • The Women's Elite Sub-23 Category saw Pamela Javelly take the top spot, outdoing Tamala Álvarez and leaving Natalia Buxase in third place.
  • The Women's Master Category was won by Ellen Knuvers in an electrifying finish, with Karla Cruz and Ana Lugo taking second and third place respectively.
  • In the Youth Category, Armando León emerged victorious, followed by Armando Martínez and José Vera.
  • The Men's Sub-23 Category was won by Ángel Cruz, with Juan Hernández and Antonio Juárez taking the subsequent spots.
  • Adolfo Valencia claimed victory in the Men's Master Category, followed by Jorge Cruz and Yahir Moreno.

AWARDS PRESENTATION
Alberto Cárdenas led the awards ceremony, expressing gratitude to the municipal and sports authorities, sponsors, and all the cyclists who participated in the Cancún Criterium. Cárdenas concluded the event with a heartfelt thank you and an invitation for the next edition in 2025: "Thank you, see you here in 2025!".
