Estefanía Mercado Asencio, the newly elected president of Solidaridad, has announced Guillermo Andrés Brahms González as a key member of her upcoming administration. While his specific role is yet to be confirmed, Brahms brings with him a wealth of experience. He previously held the position of general secretary in the Municipality of Benito Juarez under the Green Party administration.
Mercado warmly welcomed Brahms to her team via social media, praising his professionalism, legal expertise, and his notable career in the public administration of Quintana Roo.
Brahms' career is indeed impressive. He has completed his term as a local deputy of the Seventeenth Legislature and has also led the Green Ecologist Party of Mexico (PVEM). During his tenure in the last Legislature, he chaired the Human Rights Commission. Among his many responsibilities, he appointed the new head of the Cdheqroo.
Brahms will now be part of the team led by Mercado, who is set to govern Playa del Carmen. She secured her position thanks to the overwhelming support of over 77,000 votes she received in the polls on June 2.
