Girl Survives Unharmed After Mother’s Execution in Cancún Mototaxi Attack
Cancún, Quintana Roo — The first day of December began with violence in Cancún. New information regarding the shooting attack in Villas Otoch reveals that a minor girl emerged unharmed following the execution of her mother.
As previously reported, the incident occurred around 8:00 PM on Los Tules Avenue, next to a park in the aforementioned subdivision of Region 247.
According to initial reports, the victim was traveling in a white mototaxi, with economic number 05, accompanied by her young daughter and her brother, who was driving the vehicle.
However, as they were traveling on Paseo del Mandarino Street, they were ambushed by two armed individuals traveling on a red motorcycle, who opened fire on the mototaxi.
The victim’s brother, in a desperate act, immediately stopped the vehicle, grabbed his niece, and ran towards the park to keep her safe. However, he was pursued by gunfire and received a gunshot wound to the buttocks. Despite the injury, the man managed to contact relatives, who arrived to take the girl away.
The girl’s mother also attempted to flee, but unfortunately, she was caught by the criminals, who killed her with several gunshots, including one to the head.
Her body was left lying behind a vehicle parked on the public street.
Following the attack, neighbors requested support by calling 911. Paramedics arrived at the site to attend to the wounded man, who was transported to the General Hospital.
Municipal Police cordoned off the area, while Criminalistics Experts from the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) conducted the collection of evidence and the victim’s body, initiating the corresponding investigation file.
Bagged Body Found Near Arco Norte
Just minutes after the attack in Villas Otoch Paraíso, the discovery of a bagged body was reported in a dirt road area of Cancún, near Arco Norte.
The incident occurred around 8:15 PM on 20 de Noviembre Avenue, approximately 300 meters from Arco Norte.
Municipal police officers arrived at the site and cordoned off the area to prevent contamination of the alleged crime scene.
At this time, no further details are available about the corpse, nor any indication of who might have been involved in the death of the deceased.
