Madrid, Spain — The Cozumel Parks and Museums Foundation is participating in an international tourism fair with the objective of strengthening the promotion of the main natural, cultural, and archaeological spaces it manages on the island, considered essential parts of its identity and tourism offerings.
Juanita Alonso Marrufo, general director of the Foundation, stated that their presence at this event seeks to position emblematic sites such as Chankanaab, the Punta Sur Ecological Reserve, the San Gervasio tourist stop, and the Cozumel Island Museum, all of which are references for the environmental and cultural heritage of the destination.
Comprehensive Promotion of Emblematic Spaces
The official explained that these spaces represent a comprehensive experience for visitors by combining nature, history, and culture, making them key points for diversifying Cozumel’s tourism offerings and attracting new market segments.
Strategic Meetings to Attract More Visitors
During the fair, the Foundation is holding various working meetings with tourism sector actors, with the intention of generating alliances that allow for increasing visitor flow both to the municipality and to the parks and museums under its administration.
Institutional Coordination for Impactful Events
Alonso Marrufo added that they also seek to strengthen coordination with state and municipal authorities, with the aim of promoting national and international events that contribute to consolidating Cozumel as a destination with a solid and differentiated tourism offering.
