Cancún Firefighters Rescue Entangled Hawk

Cancún, Quintana Roo — Members of the Heroic Fire Department of Cancún rescued a Mexican hawk that had a thread entangled in its legs in a tree located in supermanzana 251, in the Paseos del Mar subdivision.

The incident was reported to the emergency number by a citizen who located the bird, authorities indicated through a statement.

After verifying that the specimen did not present any injuries, and following the instructions of the Federal Attorney for Environmental Protection (Profepa), it was released in a green area away from the houses.

Authorities from the municipality of Benito Juárez asked the inhabitants of Cancún that in case they see any animal in a similar situation, not to harm it and to call the authorities for the rescue of the specimen.
