Puerto Morelos, Mexico — The Attorney General's Office of Quintana Roo (FGE), in collaboration with the Mexican Navy (Semar) and the National Guard, executed a judicial search warrant on a property located along the Puerto Morelos-Leona Vicario "Ruta de los Cenotes" highway. The operation was conducted in response to potential environmental and urban development crimes affecting the local community.

Evidence Seized During the Raid

Upon entering the property, investigators discovered tools used for land clearing, heavy machinery for drilling wells, and a backhoe. Authorities also identified partially constructed dwellings made of wood, bricks, and cement, among other signs of unauthorized activity.

Specialized forensic teams documented and collected the evidence, which will be incorporated into the ongoing investigation. Following the operation, the property was secured with official seals.

The FGE initiated the case after receiving a complaint filed with the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Environmental, Wildlife, and Urban Development Crimes. Prosecutors gathered sufficient legal evidence to obtain the judicial warrant for the search.

No arrests were reported during the operation. The investigation remains active as authorities analyze the seized materials.
