Crocodile Rescued from Storm Drain Near Government Palace in Chetumal

Firefighters rescue a crocodile from a storm drain near the Government Palace in Chetumal, Quintana Roo.

Chetumal, Quintana Roo — A crocodile became stuck in a storm drain next to the Government Palace in Chetumal, prompting a swift response from emergency services.

The reptile could not move forward due to its size, trapping it inside the drainage system. Authorities were alerted to prevent any risks.

Firefighters arrived at the scene and performed the necessary maneuvers to safely rescue and release the crocodile.

Once secured, the crocodile was handed over to personnel from Ibanqroo for transport and subsequent release in a suitable area.

Authorities urged the public not to approach or attempt to handle wild animals and to report such situations immediately.
