Cancún, Mexico — A serious automobile accident between two compact vehicles, registered on the morning of this Thursday on Federal Highway 307, has resulted in injuries to one of the drivers and severe damage to the vehicles involved. The incident occurred on the Puerto Morelos-Cancún stretch, at kilometer 361, in the direction of Playa del Carmen.
Preliminary reports indicate the accident happened around 8:00 in the morning. According to information provided by witnesses, it is believed to have been a rear-end collision. One of the vehicles, a red car, sustained serious damage to its rear section, while the second vehicle ended up partially off the roadway.
Elements of the National Guard arrived at the scene to investigate and determine liability. Similarly, paramedics from a private company attended to the injured person following reports from witnesses, although the severity of the injuries was not specified.
Authorities have not released additional data at this time but remain in the area to clarify the facts of the incident.
