Circus Imagine 2026 Boosts Culture, Tourism and Economy in Puerto Morelos

Puerto Morelos, Quintana Roo — The fourth edition of Circus Imagine 2026 brought together local talent, gastronomy, and tourism in Puerto Morelos, strengthening the municipality’s economy and social fabric.

Mayor Blanca Merari Tziu Muñoz led the vibrant event at Parque Fundadores in the historic town center, which has become a cultural, recreational, and tourist landmark. This edition marked the tenth presentation since the initiative’s creation, reflecting its sustained growth and popularity among residents and visitors.

During her address, the mayor emphasized that Circus Imagine serves as a platform to promote local talent and strengthen community bonds through family-friendly activities. “We invite all Puerto Morelos residents to enjoy this spectacle that supports our artists, fosters pride in our community, and strengthens social cohesion,” she said.

Mayor Tziu Muñoz also toured the Gastronomic Kermes stands, noting that this space has become an effective strategy for boosting the local economy by encouraging consumption of products and services from municipal entrepreneurs and producers, generating direct economic benefits for families.

“As Puerto Morelos celebrates its tenth anniversary, events like this help position us on the global hospitality industry map, diversify our tourist offerings, and create unique experiences that enrich visits for national and international tourists,” she added.

Karina Vázquez, Secretary of Sustainable Tourism, stated that such initiatives strengthen the destination’s positioning by integrating culture, gastronomy, and entertainment in one space. “Circus Imagine is here to stay as an attraction that adds value to our tourist offerings and strengthens Puerto Morelos’s identity,” she affirmed.

Vázquez reported positive results from the recent Easter holiday period, with hotel occupancy rates ranging between 78% and 85% and significant economic benefits for the municipality. She noted that both national and international tourists enjoyed multiple experiences the destination offers, including the Route of the Cenotes and Caribbean beaches, solidifying Puerto Morelos as an ideal site for relaxation, recreation, and family enjoyment.

The event also featured a performance by local original music group Galáctika Deep Roots.
