Emergency responders at the scene of a rollover crash caused by a Cemex concrete truck on Federal Highway 307 near Puerto Morelos

Puerto Morelos, Quintana Roo — A Cemex concrete truck caused a rollover crash and fled the scene on Federal Highway 307, leaving significant property damage but no injuries.

The incident occurred on the Petempich-Puerto Morelos stretch near the Cemex facility, where both vehicles were traveling in the same direction. According to the affected driver, the concrete mixer truck made a sudden maneuver that forced the private vehicle off the asphalt, causing it to roll over onto the central median.

The truck driver immediately left the scene without providing assistance. Due to low visibility conditions and the speed of the driver’s departure, authorities could not identify the truck’s economic number or license plates, complicating efforts to locate the vehicle.

National Guard personnel arrived at the site to conduct forensic analysis and secure the area, confirming no one was injured. After a tow truck removed the damaged vehicle, the case awaits formal complaint filing with the State Prosecutor’s Office to review surveillance cameras along the route and identify the responsible unit.
