Mérida, Yucatán — A man who works as a car washer was accused and detained after being charged with a million-peso robbery at a property in the Chichí Suárez commissariat, northeast of Mérida.
The individual, identified as Mario Rodrigo “N”, 28 years old and a native of this city, was located and captured by investigative agents from the Secretariat of Public Security (SSP), in coordination with the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE), in compliance with an arrest warrant.
The arrest was made following a complaint from the victims and evidence gathered by investigators related to the robbery that occurred on December 8.
According to the facts recorded in the complaint, Mario “N” stole various valuable items from the property, including jewelry and watches of different brands and models, as well as 1,180,000 pesos and 6,500 US dollars, which were in different rooms of the building.
The detainee was placed at the disposal of the Control Judge handling the criminal case for the crime of qualified robbery.
