Cancún, Mexico — The Benito Juárez City Hall, through the Institute of Culture and Arts (ICA), is calling on Cancún residents to participate in the selection process for the 2026 Carnival Kings and Queens, one of the city’s most emblematic festivals that promotes participation, identity, and community.
This process, which includes the categories of Infant, Youth, Sovereigns, People with Disabilities, Sexual Diversity, and Gold, will remain open until Monday, January 5 at 4:00 p.m. as the deadline. The final phase will take place on January 10 and 11 at Parque de Las Palapas, where the winners will be announced with cash prizes ranging from 60,000 to 90,000 pesos per person.
Until the aforementioned date, from Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., citizens can submit the required documents at the institute’s facilities located on Avenida Tulum.
