The Quintana Roo Attorney General's Office has confirmed a 50-year prison sentence for Russel Israel “N” for a murder he committed in Cancún on November 8, 2021. The identity of the victim has been kept confidential.

The crime occurred in a gym on José López Portillo Avenue where the victim was brutally attacked and shot multiple times, resulting in immediate death.

In addition to the prison sentence, Russel Israel “N” has been ordered to pay a fine of 268,860 pesos for damages.

The incident deeply disturbed the Cancún community who have been awaiting justice for the victim.
