Buen Fin 2026 Set for November 13-17 With Five Days of Deals in Cancún

Cancún, Quintana Roo — Mexico’s Buen Fin 2026 sales event will run for five days, from Friday, November 13, to Tuesday, November 17, giving shoppers in Cancún a chance to buy appliances, clothing, electronics, furniture and other goods ahead of the December holidays.

This year marks the 16th edition of the national discount campaign, and it adds an extra day compared with the four-day format used in some previous years. The schedule also takes in the Nov. 20 holiday, according to the program’s official website.

Businesses that want to take part can register free of charge through Nov. 12, 2026, at 11:59:59 p.m. Signing up allows merchants to use the program’s official branding and to appear in the public directory.

How to Check Which Cancún Stores Are Participating

The list of participating businesses is available in the official Buen Fin directory at elbuenfin.org, which includes a search tool for locating registered brick-and-mortar stores and online shops. Users can search by store name or category.

Shoppers planning to buy in Cancún should check the directory before visiting a branch and confirm that the business is listed. Not every store advertising discounts is necessarily part of the official program, so consumers should distinguish between an independent promotion and formal participation in Buen Fin.

The directory may be updated as the registration period continues, so availability should be verified directly on the official platform.

To check whether a store is registered:

  1. Go to the official site, elbuenfin.org.
  2. Find the participant search tool.
  3. Enter the store name or the category you are interested in.
  4. Review the results and the business details.
  5. Confirm the listing matches the branch or business where you plan to buy.

Registered businesses are also required to include a QR code in their advertising. Scanning it lets shoppers view the business’s information and verify whether it is officially registered for the 2026 edition. The check is especially useful when offers circulate through ads, social media posts or messages before the official dates.

Registration Requirements for Businesses

Merchants can sign up through the official portal from Sept. 8 until Nov. 12, 2026, at 11:59:59 p.m. To complete registration, businesses must meet the relevant requirements, including holding a valid, active RFC tax identification number.

To take part in the raffle organized by Mexico’s tax authority, the SAT, businesses must also meet additional fiscal and operational conditions, such as an active tax mailbox, a positive tax compliance record and an electronic payment terminal. Registration for the program and entry into the raffle are separate processes, so merchants should review the specific terms for each.

What Cancún Shoppers Should Keep in Mind

Although Buen Fin concentrates promotions into several days, not every offer is necessarily the best available price. Before buying, shoppers should compare prices across stores and review the terms of each promotion.

Consumers should also verify:

  • Final price: compare it with what the item cost before the campaign.
  • Payment methods: check whether the promotion requires a specific card, interest-free installments or another condition.
  • Warranty and returns: review the store’s policies before paying.
  • Availability: confirm the product is in stock and ask about delivery times.
  • Digital security: when shopping online, use the retailer’s official site and avoid sharing bank details through suspicious links.

Mexico’s Federal Consumer Protection Agency, Profeco, also offers information and complaint channels for shoppers who encounter possible irregularities during the campaign. Its resources can be accessed through the official Buen Fin portal.
