Former Mayor’s Brother Among Three Dead in Tulum Shooting – Shocking Details!

In a shocking incident in Tulum's Maya neighborhood, three men were killed in a drive-by shooting. One of the victims was identified as Andrés Dzul Caamal, brother of the late Marciano Dzul, a former mayor of the city who passed away in March 2023.

The attack took place on Luna Street, between Mercurio and Tulum Avenue. Gunmen reportedly emerged from a public transport vehicle and opened fire, killing three individuals and injuring a fourth. The injured victim, known as Patricio "N", is currently in critical condition at the General Hospital of Playa del Carmen.

The other two deceased victims were identified as José "N" and Cristóbal "N". The incident was reported via the emergency number 911, with the location specified as being behind the Tulum Fish Market.

Medical units from Tulum Hospital, the Red Cross, and Health and Life responded to the scene. They provided initial treatment to Patricio "N", who had sustained a lung wound and two additional injuries in the lumbar area, all on his left side. After stabilizing him at a private hospital, he was transferred to the General Hospital of Playa del Carmen.

Attempts were made to provide first aid to the three other victims, but they were already deceased. Among the deceased was Cristóbal "A" from Pichucalco, Chiapas, and Andrés "D", a native of Tulum. The third victim remains unidentified.

As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting.
