In Cancún’s region 228, a group of vigilant neighbors successfully thwarted an attempted robbery. The incident occurred at 5:30 pm yesterday when a criminal tried to steal a woman’s cell phone on a bike path.
The assailant grabbed the woman by her hair in an attempt to seize her phone. However, she bravely resisted and screamed for help. In response, the criminal brandished a knife and injured her.
Despite his attempt to flee the scene, nearby residents quickly sprang into action. They chased and eventually subdued the man, who was dressed in a gray and black shirt. Once they had him under control, they handed him over to the local authorities.
The victim, unfortunately, required medical attention and was promptly transported to a nearby hospital.
