Isla Mujeres — The ballet Don Quixote was presented with great success at the Domo Bicentenario, thanks to the support of the Isla Mujeres Municipal Government led by Mayor Atenea Gómez Ricalde. The event, part of the 15th Anniversary Gala of Ballet Concierto Cancún, brought this classic work of universal art to local families free of charge.
A Night of Color, Technique, and Emotion
The performance captivated the audience with a magical evening filled with color, technical skill, and emotion. Young dancers, directed by teacher Karla Peniche, took center stage in the production.
"The staging moved children, youth, and adults alike, offering a unique artistic experience in a family-friendly and accessible setting," organizers noted.
The event is part of ongoing efforts by Mayor Atenea Gómez to bring art and culture to every neighborhood and corner of the municipality. Under her leadership, the local government has promoted public spaces where families can gather, learn, and enjoy high-quality performances.
The Isla Mujeres City Council expressed gratitude to Ballet Concierto Cancún for their participation and to the families who attended the celebration of the dance school’s anniversary.
