Cancún, QRoo — In an oral trial hearing, the State Attorney General’s Office, through the Specialized Prosecution Unit for Legal Processes, obtained a guilty verdict against Andrés Manuel Ramos Pardo for aggravated homicide against a male victim whose identity is reserved, in April 2023.
The incident occurred when the victim was walking on Niños Héroes Avenue, in Supermanzana 217, when he was intercepted by the now-sentenced individual, who was in a vehicle with another person at the moment they shot him with a firearm, taking his life, before subsequently fleeing the scene.
According to investigations by the Investigative Police, the victim had gone to a nearby residence where he would have seen other people for a business matter, and based on evidence found on the victim’s cell phone, he would have been involved in the sale of narcotics and weapons.
The judicial authority imposed, in addition to the prison sentence of 16 years and 8 months for Andrés Manuel Ramos Pardo, a fine of 103,740 pesos, as well as 1,049,646.40 pesos for damages compensation.
