Police arrest suspect with drugs in Cancún neighborhood

Cancún, December 16 . – The Secretariat of Citizen Security reported the arrest of Roger “N”, allegedly linked to crimes against health, during a prevention and surveillance operation in the municipality of Benito Juárez.

Exchange of Substances Alerts Police

According to the official report, members of the Investigation Group detected two men exchanging small plastic bags containing green herb, with characteristics similar to marijuana. Upon noticing the police presence, one of them fled and entered a residence, while the other remained at the site.

Seizure in Villas Otoch Paraíso

The events were recorded on Niños Héroes Avenue, between Arco Norte and the Niños Héroes turnaround, in the Villas Otoch Paraíso subdivision. After informing him of the reason for the intervention, the agents conducted a search, during which a backpack was secured containing 27 bags with green vegetable matter and 19 bags with solid crystalline fragments, with the appearance of crystal meth, in addition to a cell phone.

Placed at the Disposal of the Prosecutor’s Office

The detainee and the evidence were placed at the disposal of the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office in Combating Drug Dealing, which will follow up on the corresponding investigations to determine his legal situation.
