The second annual Ball Cheese Fair is set to take place on September 21st and 22nd at Las Palapas Park in Cancun. The event, which received a fantastic response in its inaugural year, will once again showcase a wide range of products made with the distinctive cheese.
The fair will feature 30 entrepreneurs, 50 food stalls, 12 plant exhibitions, 28 folk art displays, and 150 performing artists. Additionally, 12 restaurants from Yaxchilán will participate in the event.
According to Delmar Briceño Valadez, the event's organizer, the fair benefits not only the food exhibitors and craftsmen who will be present with their crafts and enterprises, but also those involved in folk art, plant exhibitions, and all businesses established in Las Palapas.
Attendees can expect to find a variety of products at the fair, including stuffed cheese, marquesitas, cakes, ice cream, drinks, and snacks. The cuisine of Quintana Roo has embraced Ball Cheese as a crucial ingredient, making Cancun a destination where a diverse array of dishes and drinks featuring this cheese can be found. This contributes to the growth of gastronomic tourism in the region.
