Tulum Firefighters Honored with New Equipment!

On Firefighters' Day, Mayor Diego Castañón Trejo of Tulum expressed his deep appreciation for the Heroic Fire Department. In addition to his words of praise, the Mayor provided the department with new equipment to enhance their work. He also pledged his continued support for the department, promising to work alongside private initiatives to ensure the safety of Tulum's residents.

Mayor Trejo, alongside David Ortiz Mena, president of the Tulum Hotel Association, commended the efforts of the General Directorate of Civil Protection and Firefighters. He emphasized the importance of providing them with the necessary tools to perform their duties effectively. "As one administration concludes and another begins, we will continue to support you in your crucial role of protecting our community. This equipment is for you, as it will aid in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our families," he stated.

Improving and Optimizing Work for the Benefit of the Community

Juan Manuel Castilla, the general director of Civil Protection and Firefighters of Tulum, applauded Mayor Trejo's commitment to improving and optimizing their work for the benefit of the Tulum community. "Today, we honor our heroic firefighters," he announced, before detailing the new equipment they had received. This included 20 professional fire hoses, 4 blue devil fire nozzles, 2 viper nozzles, 4 bifurcations, 1 Tohatsu pump for combat, and a 2024 Nissan Frontier truck assigned for Civil Protection.

Benjamín Heredia, the director of Firefighters, highlighted the department's role in preventing and combating fires, rescuing lives, and mitigating disasters. "The commitment of the current administration is commendable. We recognize all firefighters on their day, as they continually rise to challenges and are always ready to lend a helping hand," he concluded.
