Esteban Gutiérrez, a seasoned Mexican Formula 1 driver, has transitioned from the racetrack to the world of business. After a prosperous career in racing, the Regiomontano native has embarked on a new journey as an entrepreneur. His company is centered on marketing products related to car racing.
Gutiérrez has used his extensive knowledge and experience in Formula 1 to establish an e-commerce platform, RiverOne.com. This platform specializes in selling official merchandise from top Formula 1 teams such as Mercedes, Ferrari, Red Bull, McLaren, and Aston Martin. "Our platform provides Formula 1 fans with the chance to buy official products and have them delivered within 48 hours. Achieving this has been a challenge, but our efficient team has made it possible," he stated.
In addition to his online store, Gutiérrez is planning to open physical stores across Mexico. The first store will be in Mexico City, with plans to expand into other states including Quintana Roo, Jalisco, Nuevo León, and Baja California. "Quintana Roo is a crucial market for us due to its appeal to tourists. We're considering opening a store near the airport or in areas with high tourist traffic," he explained.
Gutiérrez also discussed the recent growth of motorsport in Mexico. He attributes much of this success to the new commercial strategy implemented by Liberty Media, the owners of Formula 1. "The sport has seen double-digit growth year after year, partly driven by the Grand Prix of Mexico and the involvement of Mexican drivers like Checo Pérez," he commented.
Gutiérrez concluded by expressing his excitement to continue building a profitable organization that also contributes to the growth of the Mexican economy. "We're building more than just a business; we're building a community of motorsport fans in Mexico," he said.
