Cancún Child Trafficking Suspect Arrested

Cancún, Mexico — The State Attorney General's Office of Quintana Roo has announced the arrest of a man caught in the act for his alleged involvement in child trafficking crimes within the Benito Juárez municipality.

According to an official statement released by the FGE, the arrest occurred at a residence located on Paseo del Arce at the corner of 6ta. Privada de la Higuera in Supermanzana 247. Preliminary reports indicate that the suspect, identified as Alejandro Esteban “N”, is linked to crimes against children, including trafficking and child prostitution.

Authorities reported that the now-detained individual allegedly utilized more than five electronic accounts for the transmission, creation, and storage of 591 files of material related to the exploitation of minors.

The suspect was subsequently transferred to the corresponding authorities along with the secured evidence. The investigation file for his specific case remains open to gather more probative elements, which will be used to determine his legal status.

If found guilty, the accused faces charges of up to 30 years in prison, as stated by the State Attorney General's Office.
